This is one of our favorite recipes for homemade chicken strips. It is easy and delicious! We eat them plain with sauce, in a sandwich, or in salads!
I usually make this for 8 people, so this smaller recipe is an estimate on the bread crumbs etc.
Ingredients
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 eggs mixed with 3 Tbs. water
1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup quick oats
Garlic salt for Β flavor
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray
Cut chicken into thin strips.
Whisk eggs with water. Mix bread crumbs, cheese, oats and salt.
Dip a piece of chicken into eggs and then into bread crumbs. Place on baking sheet and into oven.
*Every oven temperature varies, so make sure the chicken is well cooked in the middle as well as outside. According to my oven I bake for 20 minutes and my strips are very thin and end up nice and crispy!
It’s barely breakfast here and I want a big plate of those puppies!

It was scary, I didn’t know what a debit card was, had not written a check for years and had no credit, so me and 7 kids no money etc.

And you’re alive to speak about it… Did you ever see that American Dad episode where Stan and Fran go to Saudi Arabia… it’s funny and yet not so funny actually scary…

I usually fry my chicken strips (which is why I don’t make them very often)…this baked version is much healthier, I’m sure. Is garlic the only seasoning you use with this recipe?

well ok as I said in the recipe, I am not good at measuring, so if I feel like it I put a bit of basil, pepper etc. I usually buy some seasoned bread crumbs or if I make them I put some salt etc. in them. So I like these because they are baked and they get crispy! any seasonings you like

Nice job Lynn I do very little to no frying in my household. Mostly, baking-right on my friend! Have a great weekend. Cheryl

We don’t have this spray here. Can I use olive oil in a small dose instead?

I think anything to help so they do not stick! I did it once with no greasing of the pan and they stuck!!

These look fabulous! We don’t usually do strips since we like a high breading/meat ratio, but I bet these would make great nuggets!
