Yes the one in New York was more authentic much like what you had or what I see in my husband’s friend’s Mediterranean Restaurant. In the Greek restaurants it more Americanized, LOL.

I really enjoyed the last couple of hours interacting here with you.
I was just telling Cathy Lynn Brooks that I felt like I was actually there in your kitchen except for the actual eating of it. I tried to tag Cathy But couldn’t.

Reblogged this on Sarah's Attic Of Treasures and commented:
This is from Lynz Real Cooking. It started off as a conversation between us in my comments. It turned into a BLOG POST for both of us.
Now I need to add this to my post as well.

The one thing I possibly miss about not eating meat…is a chicken shawarma when I’m in Abu Dhabi! I do make a good vegetable shawarma dish though to make up for it 🙂

Love the gyro, this looks good, and reminds me of a restaurant in Pittsburgh, that is famous for putting their French Fries inside the sandwich. Primanti Brothers. ☺

Are my eyes deceiving me? Am I looking at pickles, fries and cabbage? lol
LikeLiked by 1 person
ha ha no dear no cabbage! Ok I will put this up in a few days after I write it down. It is basically pickles and fries and a mayo garlic type sauce. It is a sandwich found on every corner or all over the place lol
