  1. I love the images, thanks for taking me on a little trip to Saudi, this brought to my mind a conversation I had with one sister at the Mosque talking about how people are misusing funds while rich people in Saudi are faithfully paying their Zakat to help fellow Muslims. Since then I have imagined Saudi Arabia as a place full of rich people

  2. I find these pics so interesting, and so different to where you are now. I bet Soos has grown up to be a beautiful woman, as she is a real little honey in the pic.
Lynn, how is your mom doing, hope she and your dad are well. x

  3. May I email you privately … my little brother (an airline captain) has just been offered a post in Bahrain. His wife is Thai and they have a little girl of three years old. My sister in law has never lived anywhere but Bangkok. I’m looking (privately) for tips to help her settle. I believe Bahrain is quite moderate but that still rules of respectful dress will apply etc. My sister-in-law presently wears well above the knee skirts for example. I’d be hugely grateful for advice ๐Ÿ™‚ Namaste.

  4. I love seeing these little snapshots of everyday life. We are all sharing the same experience to some extent… working, taking care of family, being with friends, shopping, all the little things that make up our days, weeks… years. Seeing these pictures of life halfway across the world reinforces the idea that we share so many similarities. I’d like to think that someone in Saudi Arabia is posting pics of their time spent in the US, showing everyday life in America and demonstrating to their followers that maybe we are not so different.

  5. Fatayer sounds delicious but the precious photo of your daughter in hot pink t-shirt was extra special. Hugs to all of your family for making it out of the past and into the family you deserve to be. โ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™กโ™ก
