Very interesting Lynn. As indicated in the above comment, I was also curious about why the book seems very American. Thanks for sharing dear, I hope your week is going well for you. 🙂
I think so. It made me ponder that they even translated it…. just my thinking because most things are so strict. It is interesting to see such a book written in Arabic.
Well I knew some before I went there because I was around so many people from different countries. I picked some language up. Over in Saudi they want to speak English and practice so it was hard to learn! My kids went to school and I had to help them with homework so that made me learn more.
All I can say is, you are a very brave woman. I’m terrified to go to foreign countries, where the language is so different. I want to be able to ask where the bathrooms are, and how to order food!
Fun to see items from everyday life.

Why isn’t the lady on the book cover all covered up? Is this something you bought in America? Interesting!

I bought this at a bookstore in Saudi! I think it must be a western book translated? Not sure

That children’s book is interesting. I am surprised they allow woman that way on the cover… even on a children’s book.

I know it is weird! But, other countries outside of Saudi are very open to Western stuff.

See, I know so little about that cultures and therefore I totally absorb your stories 💖

If it gets too overwhelming just take a step back for a moment. I’m sure it will all fall into place 🙂

How did you ever manage to get along over there?? How long did it take you to learn some of the language??
